We are seeking an Environmental Scientist to provide support to GEO engineering personnel and project managers for our remediation projects in the United States and abroad. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and passionate environmental professional with experience in report writing and data analysis, permit preparation and compliance (AQMD and other), and vapor/water/soil sample collection and testing.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities​

• Coordinate field sample collection and laboratory testing

• Conduct internal vapor testing (gas chromatography experience a plus)

• Monitor adherence to parameters as dictated by permits

• Compile and analyze a variety of field data and logs

• Prepare and write reports for clients

• Prepare permit applications and manage permit compliance/expiration

• Provide general support to GEO engineers and project managers

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Prior research experience in a chemistry or biological laboratory is a plus

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Public Health or related field required (degree within 6 months ok)

• 0-2 years of related experience.

Physical Requirements​

• Ability to traverse various types of terrain for extended periods of time.

• Physical ability to perform outdoor field work.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
